Help with Fare Cardiff to York

Hi All,

Can you please give me some pointers for the best fare for the following:

Cardiff to Leeds on 17th August, I would like to try the Dinner on the WAG express if possible and travel from Cardiff on the 16:15.

There leaving Leeds around 8am on Thursday 18th and travel on to York arriving before 9am.

Then the final part is to travel back from York to Cardiff about 16:00 on the 18th August.

I do not hold any railcards or any form of discount.

I have had a look around myself, but don't know where is best to split or how to work out the extra cost to travel 1st on the Cardiff - Crewe section.

Cardiff - York Off Peak Return £101.20
ATW Premier Upgrade £35.00 Cardiff - Crewe (ask for this at Any Mainline Station), just explain you would like to travel 1st Class on the 1615 Holyhead service, and ask for the Upgrade, or if you wish providing Seats are available on the train, upgrade on the train.

Total Cost : £136.20

Your ticket is valid for an overnight stop in Leeds, providing you travel before 12pm next day which you are doing, although i may be wrong.
