Help with Cottage Junction to Norwood Fork Junction

I am try to pass on that line between East Croydon & Norwood Junction station but never been successful for quiet long time, I don't know if this is for only upper line from East Croydon or down line from Norwood Junction only or both, what platform I am expect to go through?

To me that looks like the slow northbound line heading from East Croydon to Norwood Junction. Any train from East Croydon platform 4/5 to London via Norwood Junction should pass along it

For the stretch of line you've highlighted you need to be travelling on any of theses services from East Croydon 2Gxx Caterham to London Bridge, 1Gxx Tattenham Corner to London Bridge, 2Cxx Horsham to London Bridge, 2Bxx Tonbridge or Reigate to London Bridge and 1Exx Uckfield to London Bridge. All but the the Caterham to London Bridge services cross over Slow to Fast at Norwood Folk Junction. I hope this helps

Sometimes with the faster services it's not unknown for trains departing from the above platforms to be signalled via the fast reversible/up London Bridge fast line to avoid a conflict with a down Victoria Slow services. Sending who's on duty and how quickly their brain is thinking lol

Yeah that is the Up London Bridge Slow, which is the Up Slow before Cottage Junction.

As NSE says, you normally expect to leave on a train from Pfm 4/5 at East Croydon heading towards Norwood Junction. If you then pass Norwood Junction through Pfm 1 then you are pretty much safe although exceptions do apply via the Fast Reversible. Most Caterham trains, amongst others are booked to go that way if that helps.

One thing to look out for is that you fly over the fast lines that go towards London Bridge and then merge from the left. If you pass under the line towards Selhurst then you are on the fast line.

Many services from Uckfield not only go over the Up Slow in this manner, but also get held for Thameslink trains just after Cottage Bridge Jn, so for the full experience I recommend you enjoy a trip on a premier diesel express over this section of line...
