I am trying to improve my life and get this rail qualification. Doing lots of revision and research, but can't get this question.

Q2.

Complete the tables below relating to S & C Gauges, tolerance, and range.

Speed Tolerance range
Gauge Vertical S & C
Inclined S & C

S & C Type Track Gauge Check Rail Gauge Check Rail Flangeway
All BH and older designs of FB inclined S&C
CEN 56 Vertical S&C
CEN 56 Vertical S&C with ‘high speed’ check rails

Describe other track geometry requirements relating to S & C, this should include:

Top, Line, Level

Guys I have attached the photos of the others I'm struggling with, it's like a different language. I'd really appreciate some help, thank you. Been doing it for 6 hours now and stressing.

Where are you looking? It all seems basic stuff and if you have been looking for so long you would have found it.
Try TRK/001 module 11 and 12 as a starter. Might not show all of the S&C stuff. Think that is module 5 but might be wrong..

What do you have access to? It's pointless anyone directing you towards NR standards if you don't have access to them.

If you are only able to use resources that are in the public domain then I recommend checking dickthesignals.co.uk for the question on point operation, e.g. this document. The documents there are quite dated but the fundamentals are still much the same.

Thank you. I only have access to public Google etc. I will check that out then. We get told some info by our tutor, but there is so much, that it is hard to remember every single thing.
So I'm getting a big assignment every two days, there are always a lot of questions, it's getting to me as I want to get it correct!

I don't know what you mean by this modules, it's just research on my own on Google mate. Thank you.

Which qualification are you studying for? How is your tutor unable to provide you with proper course materials? This sounds iffy as hell.

It was not intentional to suggest items not available although older versions of the standards maybe available.
The standards are where the correct info will be for the UK installation and maintenance tolerances will be - other than that the only thing I can suggest is seeing if any group standards on the RSSB site have the required information.
Looking at some of the questions it looks like the answers will be in the track construction standard if not in TRK/001.
Hopefully others can help but as mentioned above if the course tutors have not supplied training material and the IP cannot access the NR standards the search will not be much fun.
