HELP! Sitting my PTS course

Going to be sitting my PTS and was wondering what to expect we havent been giving a talk in a classroom or what not. Just on the network rail e-learning page and told to go through it all. But not sure what to take notes of as Iam not want to write everything down and learn what i dont need to know.

Any help would be appreciated.

Focus on learning the distances/definitions. I found the rest of it to be reasonably common sense.

When you do the actual PTS course they'll sit you down in the classroom and go through the lesson side of things, and then take you out on track briefly.

Hi Kev, Great resource here. Take the full PTS course with assessment, best of all its absolutely FREE. Helped me with my assessment and now use it as a refresher.

However i do think its geared up for trainee drivers

Hi kev, don't worry about the pts course, all you need to know will be delivered during the course. Make sure you take note of all the distances. Are you doing pts with dc/ac?

If it's anything like the driver's one, it won't be too difficult, make sure you pay attention and revise in the evening or to and from work.

You simply need to remember the details of the training and know how they apply to you. I got full marks, as did many people in my group. People have been known to fail it but it's rare.

Full marks now is easy. The exam is at the end of the course so the knowledge is fresh. PTS is easily forgotten and by the end of the rules course you will be forgetting some of it. By the time you reach your initial assessment you're forgetting basic rules. By the time you have your first FDA....

Keep up the revision. ALWAYS.
