Hi folks, Am posting here hoping for some wisdom.

I was a bus driver, left industry thinking the grass was greener, lost my Cat D license a few years later (2020) as i didnt do the 15 year medical.
I am now wanting back in the industry, passed my medical 2 weeks ago and my license is at dvla,
However the driving school, through no fault of theirs, think theyve sent the wrong renewal forms.
Ive been reading Gov site, D1 forms, D2 forms, print it off, can't print it off, heads melting with it.

Can some wise soul put me right please on what i need to get the Cat D back onto my license. Thank You.

You need to complete a D2 which you can’t download and have to order from the Government website - normally comes within a week. I would of said order the D2/D4 pack but you are saying you have done your medical (D4) and sent it away?
I would have thought DVLA will be in touch if you have sent the wrong forms ?
Should soon get sorted and then you will just need your 35 hrs of CPC
Good luck

Brilliant, thanks. Have requested the D2/D4 pack from DVLA. Im expecting DVLA to say wrong form sent.
Driving school thought i was wanting the provisional rather than a renewal.
I was meant to be starting the CPC tomorrow, and had a call cancelling until my license comes back with the Cat D back on it.
So worst case is a few weeks delay to getting back to work.
Cheers.
