In this day and age should there not be a Help Point on every platform for disabled users?

My local station Stonehouse only has one HP, meaning that disabled users have a 500m detour to reach the other platform if they wanted to use the HP to check a train time.

I remember when they just played a recorded message but now they take you through to an operator. But yes they are still useful as some people use them who don't have a smart phone such as elderly people who want to know connections.

IIRC there are a couple of stations on the Severn Beach line that do not have help points/working help points. There's one at either Sea Mills or Shirehampton (I forget) that seems to have turned into a plant pot!

I agree that there should be help points on every platform as it would help when say the ticket office is closed during what would normally be it's opening hours(staff sickness ect) which can be unavoidable sometimes.
