As an aside, An hour ago we just saved over £20 using trainsplit compared with trainline and over £40 compared with National rail for a return to Kings Cross! So pleased to use trainsplit once again!
Anyway, i am now trying to book a Spalding to Liverpool lime street and return, the same as what we had last September.
That was Spalding to Peterboroug, EMR, then Peterborough to Leeds LNER and finally Leeds to Liverpool TPE.
Return then was Liverpool to York TPE, York to Peterboough LNER and finally Peterborough to Spalding EMR.
Both journeys out and back were with modern stock and very comfortable. Both were booked back then with trainsplit as an available route option.
Although a bit longer and more expensive than the default EMR to Doncaster then Doncaster to Liverpool TPE and return, but the latter is ALL that is offered on Trainsplit now. Both those journeys were using old stock, noisy and uncomfortable.
I have tried find tickets using advanced options, naming Leeds and York for change or stop but just get an error message when submitted.
Any help appreciated please?

After some keyboard work I found out! I was excluding the wrong station on the LNER service so as to choose my preferred route. Hence the error message.
