Hi all,

I'm having difficulty in submitting a delay repay claim to London Northwestern Railway.

I have tried several times to submit this claim but I keep receiving the same error message.

The ticket was an off-peak return (LNR & WMR only) between Nuneaton and London Euston, with outward travel on Friday, 11th September returning on Sunday, 13th September.

When I returned on Sunday, 13th September, I travelled on the 1345 from London Euston, but due to earlier disruption, the service ran non-stop between Rugby and Crewe. I was advised to change trains at Rugby and Coventry to complete my journey. The 1445 from London Euston was cancelled north of Rugby.

When I try to submit the claim, I receive two messages:

This train was operated by West Midlands Trains please visit the West Midlands Trains website to submit your claim.

Sorry, we could not find your ticket and could see that your travel date is not today.

Does it make any difference that the tickets were purchased using the Trainsplit app?

Any assistance greatfully appriciated.

The usual process with DR is to submit to the TOC which caused the delay, so you are right to submit to LNR. LNR and WMT are the same people, so a submission to WMT might work as well
I have looked at RTT for your trains and it looks as though you reached Rugby at about 1515. There were connections which would have got you to Coventry in time to catch the 1556 to Nuneaton, and that arrived there at 1624. (Compared to 1454 if your original train had been on time)
The normal DR process is to submit your intended itinerary, your ticket, and your actual delay, in this case 90 minutes. The system then calculates what DR is due.
Is this about right? Are you submitting the correct information?

@sn5775 . What train or trains did you use to get from Rugby to Nuneaton last Sunday? Did you travel via Coventry, or wait around at Rugby for the next direct train, or did you maybe do something else? What time did you actually get back to Nuneaton?

This sounds like you’re not on the LNR/WMT website.
Sorry, we could not find your ticket and could see that your travel date is not today.
Wrong details?

No, where the tickets were purchased makes no difference to a Delay Repay claim.
