Help Needed - Announcements for Route Under Construction

Hello everyone.

I am currently creating a fictional route in TS2009 and I am looking for someone to record the on board announcements for the train.

This involves narrating 38 different clips seperatly, along the lines of "The next station is" and "We are now approaching" and so on.

Obviously, because of the nature of the work, I need someone with a micrphone, and prefably a good quality one at that, without too much background noise.

Remember, this route, when finished, will be available to download pubically, so you need to be happy with everyone hearing your voice!

You will of course get credit when the route is uploaded, but I can't afford to pay you anything, especially as the route will be free to download.

If you're interested in helping out, please reply in this thread with a voice clip attached or a link to one, which includes you saying "This train is for Newton Central. Calling at Church Gate, Uplands, Bank Street and Newton Central. Change at Newton Central for St. Pancras International".

I'm curious how you're going to make this work.
Will you use triggers? And if so, have you got the scripting for it to work?

If you're serious in wanting to record these, please remember the trouble that was caused by copying Phil Sayers announcements at New Street for BVE. Daft as it sounds, the Desiro announcements are probably liable to some form of copyright restrictions.

I've got a few ways of making them work I want to try - Some use triggers, some use the train itself, and some use objects which you drive through on the track to set them off (Much like the horn one, which is only visible in surveyor, and when you drive through it the horn sounds.

I am going to start experimenting with these today in my free periods from college with a test clip made by a friend, and see what happens

Hi, I would like to know if u could help me with my route based on the perth train network......if u do know how to, i really need help with script for a trigger that will play announcements....like: "this is Perth"
