I’m trying to put in a delay repay claim for a trip from Coventry - Lye on the 21st September. My train from Birmingham Moor Street was cancelled but I cannot remember exactly which one it was other than it was in the afternoon. Can anyone tell me which was cancelled and how long my delay to Lye would have been? I am not aware of any resources online that can let me look up historically

I usually just look at the same day of the week in the future on a ticket booking site, unless the timetables have changed you should get your answer from that.

What time did you leave Coventry?

This is the tricky bit as it was a few weeks ago so memory is patchy. I’m sure it was between 1-2pm
These are the trains from Birmingham Moor Street to Lye on 12 October.
https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/se...22-10-12/0200-0159?stp=WVS&show=all&order=wtt

If you select one of them - eg https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:P96571/2022-10-12/detailed
you can then change the dates to 2022-09-21 like this https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:P96571/2022-09-21/detailed

That shows that this particular service ran 10 minutes late.

You will, however, need to know the time of your train from Coventry to make the claim.

I have checked that journey on https://www.ontimetrains.co.uk/departures-arrivals

Only the 21:22 shows as cancelled, however the 17:51 shows as 127 minutes late which would have left a gap of an hour between the 17:21 and 18:21, so might have appeared as if it was cancelled.

Further to that realtime trains shows the 17:51 as cancelled from Birmingham Snow Hill

Searching ontimetrains for departures from Snow Hill to Lye on that date, shows both the 17:54 and 18:53 were cancelled, so depends if it was cancelled (or very late) from Moor Street, or did they cancel it after you had already travelled as far as Snow Hill?

Having opened the train details for 2022-10-12 how do you change the date to 2022-09.21 to see the train details for that date, please? I cannot see any way to do this.

Type it in the file path - eg replace 10-12 with 09-21.

I changed at BHM, walked to BMO and was told it would be cancelled and should board the next one. I couldn’t remember the exact time as I travel a lot on trains everyday of the week but I think I can piece it together now.

Thanks all for your help. My claim was approved

I’ve learnt a bit today. Thanks for your input and also for the reference library of ontimetrains. I’d forgotten about that one. Also I didn’t know RTT could be forced to show historic running times / performance
