Sorting out my old photos, and I am intrigued as to what the West Country pacific in the attached photo carried in the four cylindrical tanks on the rear of the tender. Any clues?

Thanks Guys. They looked a bit like the depth charges I used to draw on my battleships during boring lessons, but I concede that your explanation makes more sense.
