Help identifying

Hey seen this earlier on the CCTV anybody any idea of what it is thought it may be a network rail train but unsure was in Edinburgh of that helps

This came through Linlithgow from Slateford Depot to Stirling, though I didn't get a good squint at it. At a guess its a Balfour Beatty tamper of some sort.

With the red and white, it looks like an SB Rail tamper:

fairly sure its a babcock tamper

This was reported as 73934 - it then went from Stirling to Aviemore.

It is an SB Rail tamper. It is a joint venture between swietelsky and babcock. They got a long contract with NR in 2018 to provide tamping services.

In that case it is a Plasser & Theurer 08-16/4x4C100-RT tamper. Did it run with its little wagon? I like its little wagon which i think is something to do with track stabilisation
