Random wondering....

Any clue what the large grey screen/box type thing is?

Lisburn railway station, NI. Recent track renewal/signal renewal, don't think they were there before

I think they’ll be screens to prevent the signal behind them being seen by a driver in the platform that the photo is taken from. (They’re more often black on Network Rail infrastructure.)

Photo from further back on right hand platform suggests you're completely right!

Yep, pretty certsinn they will be 'blanking boards' to prevent the signal from being seen from the wrong line.
