Help for contacting gtr prosecutions

About 9 days ago I was caught without a railcard as I had left it at work that evening. I was told to upload an image of my railcard to the link with my code. I submitted my railcard in an image format which they couldn’t read and swiftly replied with a jpg of my railcard. Since then they haven’t replied and I’ve filled out the form again but haven’t heard anything. I’m concerned as I don’t want to be prosecuted and just want this resolved. I recently contacted Thameslink who were unable to provide me with a number or a solution to this issue.

Welcome to the forum.

Realistically, the thing to do is to wait for them to contact you. If there are happy that you have evidenced that you had a railcard, the next you will hear is that no further action will be taken. If they're not happy, they will write again to ask for your side of the story, and then you can provide it again. And if the very worst happens and somehow you are taken to court, that in turn is another opportunity to present your evidence and point out that it's what the railway asked for.

Sound advice in post #2 - if you want an address for the team at GTR (revenue protection) we can give you that - but you may need to write to them hard copy as their policy is not to generally deal with stuff by e-mail etc - tho obviously they do deal with the railcard uploads electronically.

I think it would be worth waiting some time before contacting them - as @Fawkes Cat suggests - eg maybe 6 to 8 weeks from date you sent them your upload in the format they asked for - and presumably could see OK.

But do keep an eye on your post / email and spam - for at least the next 6 - 7 months.

Agreed with all above. Continue waiting and come back to us when they respond, or in a month or two if they still haven't.
