Good morning, can someone please help me confirm on Sunday 28th Jan 09:58 from Porthmadog to Sandwell and Dudley is rail replacement bus the whole journey or just from Shrewsbury?.

One app shows I can get a train from Porthmadog to Shrewsbury then it’s a bus but another just says rail replacement bus, thank you

0958 TfW train from Porthmadog to Shrewsbury via Machynlleth, arrives Shrewsbury 1318, then TfW rail replacement bus at 1326 (destination Birmingham International) from outside Shrewsbury station, arriving Sandwell & Dudley station at 1526.

Minimum connection time at Shrewsbury station is five minutes so that's a valid, if tight connection.

If the train from Porthmadog is late, the next rail replacement bus from outside Shrewsbury station (destination Birmingham International) is at 1422, arrive Sandwell & Dudley 1622.

@Nanteos56. Hope your journey goes straightforwardly, although not sure if I fancy the prospect of two hours on a rail replacement bus. Do let us know how you get on!

Dependent on your final destination in the Sandwell /Dudley area, it might be quicker to get off the bus at Wolverhampton, and then use the tram.
