Hi everyone,
Been on the forum a while now and have had a good nosy at people's posts, mainly in this section.
I have just turned 20 years old and I am lookin to work in the rail industry, I applied for a job at Oxenholme for Virgin trains and got to the recruitment event, but unfortunately did not make it past the group discussion. I have got my feedback and hopefully know what to do next time (if I get another chance)
I was just wondering what companies to look out for? Just so you know I live in Lancaster (North West) near Preston. I have only really found Northern Rail and Virgin as the two companies that have had jobs advertised in the North West. Any others?
Anyway I currently have two applications pending, one was for Northern at Blackpool as a shunter driver (not heard anything yet) The other was as a CSA (on board) for Virgin at Preston.
When I left school I worked for a bank for two years and now still work in customer service for a hygiene company. However I really want to work in rail and would take any feedback/advice that you have on board.
Feel like I have told you loads there, but if you want to know anything else let me know! Thanks guys.
