I must be the only one to think it's HELLFIRE. you young'uns wouldn't know a decent bus if it bit ya on the bum:lol:

I wish that they used them instead of guided busways which are pretty useless except for busses, but road/rail busses like that would mean that the route can be used for freight services or local heavy rail services aswell as the busses

Wow, I think they're really cool! That could be an idea easily revived in the future. I can see it working really well in some areas!

I just have this image of thrashing down the Dawlish Sea Wall on a Bristol LH vice Class 142! Or it appearing on Keighley-Ingrow shuttles at the Worth Valley. :)

Sadly a quick search on Google under NEL847M doesn't reveal any more information about the bus such as its fate.

Problem here is the safety aspect - "heavy" rail meeting "light" rail.

An interesting project that is for sure.

As for safety there might be a few problems getting passengers on and off the train-cum-bus unless there are doors on both sides. Please look both ways before alighting - then run like hell.....
