I have tried to search on this forum about this game and found very little.

I have only just found out about this game and after playing the demo version it has brought back happy memories and has whetted the appetite to play more.

Does anybody know if the game is still available to purchase from the website
www.railrover.co.uk
as it appears that very little interaction on the forum and that someone has allegedly been awaiting a product key for a little while.

Don't want to part with £25 and lose out!!!

I know its a long shot but any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

If this has already been discussed I apologise in advance and mods can direct me to the appropriate page and close/delete this thread.

Thanks

The game is still available to buy as far as I'm aware. I know Mike Wright was working in the middle of nowhere for a lot of last year, but he's now back in Perth and is responding to messages a lot quicker.

There is/was a thread on the WNXX forums that seemed to be more popular, or perhaps you could post progress updates here and create your own thread?

Unfortunately looks like I won't be parting with cash on this now as it looks like the game is no longer available as still had no response.

Thanks

Thanks

Good news is that Mike has contacted me and I have decided to part with the cash and I have received the key after a day.

Thanks Mike (if you read this that is lol) and looking forward to a good bash later lol

Hi 45041,

Yes - I am now much less remote (working in Perth, Australia), so I can now respond to emails much faster than previously!

I hope to press on with the rewrite of the new version, and am still hoping to get a 1973 version off the ground!

Cheers

Mike

Hi Mike,

I have enjoyed your Western and Scottish versions in the past. I now no longer have them as my PC died while I was sidelined with a long illness keeping me in and out of hospital for 18 months. Though this is not the point of the post.

These are great fun and I found myself chancing connections that in the timetable weren't possible but can be made if the "Gen" is good and the second train was running late. Doubly worth the risk if it had a rare loco hauling it. Likewise I bombed out big time too.

Being relocated to Sydney many moons ago the railways and their routes were not immediately clear to me but with the aid of a good map I soon had enough of an idea. I have not visited your website for years and thanks to this thread for brining back found memories.

Bye for now,

Stephen.
