Isn't that the one that usually operates the shuttle between T1,2 & 3 and T4?

If you get the tube to Heathrow, IIRC T5 LUL is down stairs from the HEX station. There is a free travel zone within the Airport so once you are there, you don't need a ticket... See http://www.heathrowairport.com/static/Heathrow/Downloads/PDF/travel_around_Heathrow.pdf for details.

If you want a faster way into Heathrow and you've a travelcard or Oyster PAYG, use Heathrow Connect and get a ticket to/from Hayes and Harlington. Not forgetting to touch out at Hayes before travelling onward.

Have to point out that use of LUL is only free if you hold an Oyster card or of cause included if you hold a travel card including Z6.

I've always wondered how 360205 is covered for shuttles when it's the only 360 in HEx livery. Isn't HEx itself free between 1,2,3 and 5? Ironic how Pic isn't over the same section...

A different 360 sometimes covers for it. I've also seen a 332 doing this.

That's right. I've seen 360205 deputising on Heathrow Connect down the GWML, while 360201 worked the shuttle.

Not really, being as HX makes money hand-over-fist from high Paddington to Heathrow fares so they can afford to do that :P

I understood that Heathrow Express was a cost to running the airport and made a considerable loss. For example last year the HE operating company made a £4.4 million profit but BAA Group had a £40m charge to depreciation etc for Heathrow Express.

So to me that is an overall loss of £36m. Like a lot of things around Heathrow BAA have to pay for a lot of thinks in exchange for planning permission. If this is wrong please let me know as company accounts these days are deliberately designed to hide the truth rather than reveal it.
