Bit of a niche one, not found any answers via google so thought I'd try here!

I seem to recall that you can't walk to the terminal from the street. Are the walkways from Premier Inn/ Hilton to T4 easily accessible to the public, or hotel guests only? And even if officially hotel guests only, how hard would it be to walk through?

My nearest Elizabeth Line station is T4. Pre £5 drop of charge it was easy to stop nearby, not so now so looking at alternatives.

I stayed in the HI Express a couple of months ago, you can walk there without restriction via an elevated corridor from departures level (probably preferred), or at ground level from arrivals. I think the same corridor continues to the other hotels.

I've stayed at the Premier Inn, to get to the walkway from street level you would need to enter the hotel via the car park then take one of the lifts to Level 2, then follow the corridor round to the left and then through a door to the start of the walkway. 2 possible problems though - the car park entrance is 'attended' but I never has to show a room key. It might be different if you turn up with a load of luggage though I suspect you'd just be directed to reception which (I think) is level 1 so no great issue just going to level 2 instead. The 2nd possible issue is accessing/leaving the corridor on level 2 - I cannot remember whether the doors needed a key card to open or not. All is not lost though - instead of level 2 direct go to reception level turn left out of lift and walk round the corner and there is another single lift which will take you to level 2 and free access to the walkway. And finally...if all else fails, about 100m East of the Premier inn is the Sheffield Way bus stop - from here a 482 or 490 bus every 5-10mins will take you to T4.
