Heathrow Connect - strike action

Another Strike announced for June 4th. Guess who's going to Heathrow that day >.< - Guess I'd better take my Oyster for the Central Bus station-T5 Transfer!

Also the strike is the same day as the Royal Opening of the new Terminal 2

Transfers by bus from Heathrow Central to T5 are free. No oyster required.

Incidentally the official launch of T2 by HM The Queen is on the 23rd of June. The terminal is only being soft launched on June 4th with United Airlines moving in.

I thought the Terminal Transfer buses were all airside and Landside passengers had to take HEX. Am arriving by Coach and Flying from T5 - will prob be easier to take my Oyster and then stick it in my case and forget about it for the rest of my trip

No. Transfer buses between terminals are normal service buses but there is a 'freeflow' free travel area around heathrow.

You can transfer by tube for free but only with an oyster card.

It may be best to check your coach doesn't also stop at T5. Some do.

As above all TfL bus services immediately around Heathrow are FOC and no oyster required.

The HEX is also FOC and no ticket is required.

The tube is also free, but Oyster is required.

Not just TfL services - the First Slough 75/76 and services 441 and 557 are included.
