I use the stairs because it's faster.
agreed. Always said we should have gone for the Transport for London approach with these i.e high Speed Escalaters or better still Travelaters for ease of use with luggage↲

I passed by again today and realise that today (Xmas Eve) is far from typical, but was struck by the vast disparity between the great capacity of the new concourse and the tiny trickle of passengers - typically there was about 0.2 passengers per escalator, and less than 2 passengers per 100sq meters of floor space.
Still, it is nice to see that it opened on time, with frontage leading right into a tram stop, providing frequent onward travel on Edinburgh's notoriously magical and invisible transit (Well, JK Rowling is an Edinburgh visionary).
Lol true, nice post Dave. Wonder if theres a hidden platform 9 and 3 quarters in there somewhere too?↲ Still not used the ↲ station yet but heard lots of good things wen passing through.↲
