When I was at Haymarket last Friday awaiting the 1721 EC service to York I saw the following:

An EWS Engine pulling browny passenger carriages with DB markings on the side - someone care to enlighten me ?

If the carriages looked like it was just the dirt holding them together, then that's definitely what it was.

1708 off Waverley so the timings figure. Thanks for the warning about it looking like dirt holds the whole lot together - it may be a good thing that it'll be dark when I plan to take it this week!

Royal locomotive or not, I daresay the Queen would prefer a Pacer - at least they're held together with prayer, not dirt like those carriages! ;)

Very good!!! :D

My train was ex virgin Mkii - thyey were in decent nick, fairly clean etc. Old but decent.

Not sure what the ones I were in were, but they had green seats (front two coaches) with orange ones further back - all brown exterior and 67004 on the front
