I have booked a holiday in Edinburgh from 11 to 16 July this year. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, a very important top-priority national-qualifying race for me has been cancelled and we have been re-accommodated on 14 July near Norwich.
The race registration is between 13 and 14 hours and it will finish at 17 hours.
I tried to price out a journey on National Rail but it doesn't seem possible to do that journey as a day return, with the first train from Haymarket arriving at Norwich at 15:13, and not possible to return to Haymarket before the service ends as well.
What is the best way to get to Norwich and back for the race, with the minimum sacrifice on the event I plan to do in Edinburgh? My accommodation in Haymarket can be cancelled but the events in Edinburgh can no longer be cancelled.
