I notice that on RTT there is a WTT diagram from Haverfordwest Freight Depot to Didcot T.C. but the working never seems to actually run. I'm assuming the consist would be of an M.O.D. variety if one did run?

Corrrect - there are a few similar paths to various obscure MoD locations
around the country (e.g. Warminster) which never run, but are kept in
the system for strategic reasons...

Would the paths from Ernesettle in Devon be the same sort of thing? Has that ever run in recent years?

Traffic runs from Ernsettle every few months - there was a movement
in early January, and another in April.

Rumours are that the Ernesettle traffic was just a "token train" as NR engineers want to remove the siding connections to save on maintenance / inspection costs. The MOD wan't to retain the sidings for future use so DBS run an occasional train to justify the use and cost of maintaining the points!

Sounds bizarre but could be something in it. Perhaps NR should bill the MOD as it is a customer to look after the infrastructure or is that not possible?
