Hello all,
I've been meaning to post this on here. Sometimes when I over-run with sleep, I curse myself for missing the train I was planning to use or was booked on, but am grateful that there is one every half hour from here so I can still get on the move.
But I do wonder how annoying it must be if you oversleep and miss a charter, not like there will be one 30 minutes behind!!
Not only that, you wouldn't get your money back either! Usually if I go for a tour from here I have all alarms on high volume, and if doing one elsewhere I'd do an overnighter or use the travelling overnight hotels (319s, more mileage that way lol) and have done one to Fishguard Harbour overnight for one that started at BTM later in the day, that time I was really paniking, what if the unit failed, what if the HST fails entirely, what if it derails, what if what if etc!
So my question is, have you ever missed a tour by getting up late or connection train being late or whatever reason, and have you managed to join it elsewhere or did you miss out entirely? Or even do you know of someone who has?
Thankfully I haven't done so yet, but there is probably someone out there who has missed one!
