I just wondering has anyone received their copy off Irish Enterprise South ?, I placed my order on Dec 5th & it was dispatched on the 12th I got two parcels yesterday both posted on the 13th & one was from HMV Guernsey, which I'd not expect for 2 or 3 days after dispatch date
I would wager that none or very few people have received theirs on launch date going by the lack of comments & screenies on the various forums inc the MT one ,So Much for Guaranteed delivery if ordered by Midnight on the 11th

I will be interested to hear if anyone else got the title on the 14th

Got mine on Saturday - and very nice it is too!

Trust me - you'll find it worth waiting for! Scenery, stock, sounds... everything is perfect!

Your Lucky Ginger , I've still not got mine
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
My post man has just been and still nothing , I asked him was there another delivery Today & he said there was so hopefully it will turn up then But I still think this order by Midnight on 11th for guaranteed delivery by launch date thing has been a bit of a rouse ,I think there has been a problem because my self included I know 8 people who are waiting on it in various parts of Europe
3 in NI
1 in Co.Cork
1 in Livingstone
1 Sheffield
1 in Dortmund

Only my friend Katherine who bought it as an Xmas gift for her Son & lives in Dumurry Belfast has received it & she is not that impressed she said the cover looks like its been printed on a Ink-Jet printer & the shrink wrapping was a self seal plastic bag ( the Type Market traders put dodgy DVDs in to give them an authentic look) , I can not wait till get mine , but the talk of this has now put me off a bit.

Mine was posted on time, so it was purely the posties fault if it didn't arrive on time :( (Or was Saturday on time? When was it supposed to come by?)

Packaging definitely doesn't look ink-jetish to me, though it's in the Enterprise colour scheme, which personally I feel looks a bit gloomy.

You wouldn't catch me stopping to look to see what type of plastic I stopped to rip off it. Plastic is merely something getting between a DVD and my computer that must be eliminated!!! I can confirm though that the product definitely wasn't filmed from the back of the cinema on a mobile phone :D

Then its the fault of the postal system then

I am sure there would be
no pleasing most people
who had forked out £20 for something they did not receive or can not even get a response to e-mails enquiring about its status.

And LucaZone to directly answer your question No it did not arrive ,my friend in Cork has even got his now , but my friend in Lisburn NI said his too showed dispatched Dec 12th ( he per ordered back on Nov 26th) , but when he got his actual package it was posted marked on 14th so as I stated previously dispatch dates can be taken with a dollop of SAXA

It would have probably been put into the postal system on the 12th but not stamped until it reached originating sort office - which looks as if it had left that sorting office on the 14th.

Perfectly logical explanation....

It's most likely got lost or its just delayed in the post - you can't blame MT for something which is not their problem.

Mr Mcall,

While I can only appologise that your Irish Enterprise South appears to not yet have been delivered, I know how frustrating waiting for past can be.
But with all due respect, you are treading on very dodgy ground with some of the things you are saying or inferring.
Given your threats against other websites about legal action for deformation I suggest you very carefully reconsider some of your points unless you want the same threat.

a) You are suggesting that in some way MT have not been entirely truthful regarding posting of packages.
We've got postage reciepts to back up the fact packages were sent. And sent on or before dates that we were aiming for.

For the record what evidence have you got to support your suggestions that maybe it was never sent or sent days late ? We've got proof of postings from the post office confirming when the packages were taken from us.

b) You have said that you have not had replies to your emails to MT.
You have been given replies to your emails. This despite sending them to someone's personal email address, instead of thier business address, and you have also had replied via the MT shop helpdesk system.
I know this because I have seen them all of them.
When Tony is back after his Christmas break I'm sure he'll be happy to post these replies them IN FULL on this forum if you like, but I suggest you may not want this it will show that you have had multiple responses and are therefore lying.
Lying is a strong word, but how do you explain saying something which is blatently not true ?
(These will be the replies your emails entitled "sorry to trouble you" or something similar)

c) We absolutely never guaranteed delivery by a certain date, simply because obviously we can't do that, what was said was that all orders made by the deadline would be posted by the last posting date as advised by the royal mail. Which all packages were. All packages were in the postal system before relevant last posting dates.
There *may* be a slight difference in the date the shop gives as dispatched and the actual date the items were processed by the royal mail.
When dispatching in excess of 125 packages at the same time, there does need to be some way of monitoring which packages are packaged and ready to go. There is also some variation in the time taken for Royal Mail to actually process the items after collecting them from Post Office branches or sorting offices.
The bottom line is the only guideline worked to was to dispatch items as quickly as possible after we got them from the publisher and if at all possible in time for the posting date for the destination. Which was achieved.
What happens once they enter the postal system is entirely outside of the control of MT. I would have thought that this was blatently obvious to anyone with half a brain cell.
Our posting terms are on the shop website, by ordering from the shop you did obviously agreed to them.

Our online shop gave the option of multiple posting options some of which offered tracking, and some form of guaranteed delivery. You chose to not use these, preferring to take standard (in this case free) delivery along with the risks of using normal post.

It would be a very brave / stupid person to guarantee delivery this near Christmas using normal post, and I'm not that dumb. Are you ?

d) I am still waiting on £140 worth of mugs posted to me on Dec 3rd, and try as hard as you like you wont find me blaming the supplier for this lack of delivery. I've seen the proof of posting, so I know when they were posted, not that I actually had any doubt in the first place.
The bottom line is sometimes packages are delayed or never get delivered. And it happens to me as well as you.

As for the wrappers, how exactly would you suggest that the publisher wrap them without the use of a shrink wrapping machine which they did not have access to ? And exactly what difference does it actually make ?

For the record, we use smart stamp, which does not get a postmark added by the Royal Mail.
The date on the 'smart stamp' says "post by". This date is something like the end of the business day after the stamp is printed.
So a date of 14th Dec means little other than it was printed at least 24 hours prior to that.

Further to Buffy500 (Dave Babb)'s post ...

I have all the proof of postage receipts and will confirm *exactly* what happened and when with regards to the Irish Enterprise South dispatch.

As soon as it was known that it would be released on 14th December I voiced my concerns over the date being so close to Christmas and a day after the final posting date for European (and therefor Republic of Ireland) customers. It was decided that any orders received before the pre-order cut-off date would be shipped to all International Addresses no later than the Thursday and that, time permitting everything else would also be send by the Thursday.

At the beginning of the week, it became clear that it would be *very* tight to get the product from the publishers to us and then shipped by Thursday and, as such, I had to go to Barrow-in-Furness by train to collect the product from the publisher on Wednesday afternoon to save a day waiting for it in the post. On Wednesday night and Thursday morning I packaged all the International Signed for, Special Delivery and Recorded Delivery Packages and these were dispatched and placed in the hands of Royal Mail at Newton Heath (Manchester) Post Office at ~16:30 on Thursday 13th December.

Any other orders which were tracked were packaged on Thursday afternoon/evening and posted by lunchtime on Friday 14th December. I must point out at this point that at no point did MT guarantee the product to anybody on release day.

Yes HMV may be able to get post from Guernsey to you in 48 hours with a week to christmas. They also have dedicated account managers within Royal Mail, dedicated collections from THEIR WAREHOUSE in big articulated trucks with Royal Mail painted down the side. Making Tracks have me going to a sorting office in back-end-of-beyond council estate Manchester in a clapped out fiesta with a box full of jiffy envelopes and an appology that they have to process 60 envelopes and close in half an hour!!!!!

If you don't like the way the Making Tracks shop runs, don't order from us ... We don't force anyone to order from the Making Tracks shop and, truth be told, the amount of time we have had to spend replying to 'Where is my copy', 'has my copy gone out yet ?' and 'Sorry to bother you but' has probably taken more time than actually sending the stuff out.

With regards to the dates on the shop not aligning with the dates/times of actual postage ... our web based shop was set up by me ... and at the time was not expected to be handling over 100 orders in the space of a day. As such it marks products as dispatched once the packing slip/proof of postage receipt has been printed out.

As to the 'no response from MT' comments. I have replied to you despite your emails being sent to me at my personal address and not the Making Tracks support addresses as detailed on the website and shop. These replys and also the contents of the support ticket are posted below. As I have ensured that no personal information other than your name which you have already made public is included, this disclosure is not in contravention of the Data Protection Act.

Please follow regular shop support routes.

The current status of your order is available from the 'My Account' page once you have logged in to the shop. The shop does not *always* send emails out depending on the method used to process the action.

Proof of Postage and Non-Delivery Claims

To have your order sent by insured mail within the UK, please select Royal Mail Recorded Signed For or Royal Mail Special Delivery.

Royal Mail First Class is not a guaranteed delivery service, (although Making Tracks will obtain proof of dispatch).

From 1st February 2007, all orders to be shipped Internationally are dispatched by Royal Mail International Signed For, this is to ensure that the order is insured to prevent loss in transit and also provides Making Tracks with proof of Delivery.

If your item is not delivered, Making Tracks are unable to make a claim to Royal Mail until 5 weeks (25 working days) after dispatch and unrecorded mail claims (First Class) and International Items can take upto 15 weeks to be processed. Until the claim has been completed, Making Tracks will be unable to ship a replacement to you.
-----------------------

Unfortunately this means that we are unable to submit a Lost/Missing Post Claim to Royal Mail until 5 weeks after your order was dispatched by us to you. If your item has not arrived by this date please contact us again so that we can process your claim for Missing Post. If we do not hear from you again concerning this issue we will assume that it has been delivered and no further actuon will be taken.

Making Tracks did respond to your emails and I do still have the original ones which were sent from your GMail account (and include headers that show as much) showing that not only did you receive these replys from MT but that you replied responding to it.

I look very forward to your reply regarding this matter, and for the record, I don't mind if its at my personal address, my making tracks email address, or within this forum. You were replied to and you have made Making Tracks out to be the bad person for doing what was our best to get this product out to you and everybody else in time for Christmas, if you don't like the fact that Postman Patrick has lost yours then complain to Royal Mail ... He won't be losing any further orders you try and place with me at Making Tracks thats for sure.

I think it would be best for any more replies about this matter to be kept off-forum.
