Has anyone been to a major autoshow?

I'm planning on visiting the Frankfurt Autoshow, the Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung, and this is my first time doing so.

As anyone ever went to these kinds of exhibitions?

It'll be my first time going to one and I wanted to know if a near full visit is doable in a single full day. I'm mostly visiting to learn about careers (and extra studies) in design, manufacturing and trending materials and new electric vehicles (they say the next generation fleet from VW will be unveiled in Frankfurt).

Last year I went to Innotrans in Berlin and two days were enough to get through most of the exhibition and I was still able to do a lot of tasks during that time, and I want to waste as little money as I can in Frankfurt since I (may) go for a three day visit to London in October.

I was initially planning to go to Genebra but lost the opportunity to get plane tickets for dirt cheap, and accommodation there is prohibitively expensive.

Only the next gen platform, the I.D., I believe but I may be wrong. You might want to see what Christian von Koenigsegg is offering this year. Bugatti might have the world's most expensive new car there.

That was in Geneva (The Bugatti) which I attended on Tuesday.

Having been a regular attendee at Motorshows (Geneva, Paris and Frankfurt, and The British Show before it vanished) for the last 15 years I can confirm they are on the wane.

A lot of Major Manufacturers don't bother having a presence these days - for example no Ford , Mini , Volvo , Land Rover in Geneva this year.

Boring Hybrids and Electric Cars are very much to the fore these days !!

I have only ever spent a few hours at each show and it is perfectly possible to get around in this timescale.

Do they, by any chance, have job, study or training booths on these motorshows?
