Hartlepool MRC & Hornby Live Event

Just got back from this show held at the Wynyard Rooms, Wynyard Park, Hartlepool. It has plenty to see and loads of traders with a few bargains to take advantage of.

Open 9:30am - 5.00pm Sat & Sun

I'm actually in the midst of completing a 'speculative' application for a job as directed by th GC website, you wouldn't be able to give me any 'inside' info on future roles would you?

Any help you can give me really!?

Im not classed as staff, im just a Station Ambassador and so voluntary for it! Best person to ask would be BOSCH, as he's a driver for GC.

Visited on Saturday. I did it as a day trip from Surrey using Grand Central (* see FOOTNOTE BELOW!...) , picked up at Eaglescliffe by my parents who live near Scotch Corner (05.30 start, 21.20 back home). Agree about the dissapointments of Gamston Bank, however still enjoyed watching the ECML as-was, including blood and custard coaches. Massive irony then that on my return down the ECML, not only noted Gamston bank (I know where to look as I grew up in nearby Mansfield) but when we got down to the Biggleswade area I suddenly noticed we were overhauling some blood and custard coaches on the up slow, and low and behold there was a fleeting glimpse and roar as we overtook the loco, a garter blue A4!

* after the show we went for an ice cream at Seaton Carew beach to as I was intending to pick up the GC train from Hartlepool (it was cancelled - so despite may parents presence thought I'd better take the official taxi laid on to Darlo station wher I actually gained time on the GC schedule by boarding a fast East Coact electric service. Bizarrely due to a lighting strike killing its power further north this train was running 45 minutes late, so I arrived 'early' at Kings Cross on a train running nearly 1 hour late!

You must have seen me as well then, I went from Wynyard down to Hartlepool Station to sort out taxis for the London-bound passengers... Small world!
