Wait for the uproar from North Yorkshire County Council after they part funded the enhancement of the signalling between York and Knaresborough on the basis the half hourly service could run from May 22!

Could it not still run? I get that the second service will have to thread between the east coast services to reach York but... could it not still run?

Strikes me as the sort of thing that could be bid "Standalone" and still work, as it doesn't hinge on any of the issues NR are flagging (traction power etc), provided the paths are compliant with the existing timetable.

Definitely standalone then as the Dec timetable is the same base as today. May 22 was meant to be the base re-write for the ECML.

Not sure about the last departure from Leeds to York via this route seems early to me departing at 21:29 on a weekday.

It's 21:29 currently according to this (for next Tuesday: https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/se...1/0200-0159?stp=WVS&show=all&order=wtt&toc=NT). It would be nice if we could get the Harrogate service up to half-hourly in the evening, if there's demand.

There are 2229 and 2329 services loaded in RTT for December, but only to Harrogate. Should they at least run to Knaresborough
Certainly the penultimate one should be extended I don't thtink you would get away with the last one from Leeds though.
