Prompted by watching the old BBC Documentary 'The Past at Work- Railway Mania' I was just wondering whether many railtours still happen over the Harrogate line? I fancy doing one behind steam traction.

Cheers

Plenty of tours go round, the most recent being a UK Railtours trip from London back in August. There haven't been any steam trips since 2010 though.

Until a couple of years back the Scarborough Spa summer service did a loop York - York via Harrogate/Leeds before/after York - Scarborough.

Then they changed it for the "more scenic" loop around Castleford.

Longer than that actually - the last time the SSE came round Harrogate was back in 2009!
