Happy Christmas to all of you that contribute to this section (and also to those of you that just take the time to read it we do appreciate it).
You’ve done all done yourselves proud with your encouragement, help and advice over the last couple of years. :)

It has been a strange old year that’s for sure but this part of the forum has been an oasis of calm and good humour and it’s a great place to lose yourself for a while and forget about daily stress, which is what having an interest in this kind of thing is all about of course…

At some point in 2022 I’ll try and organise a forum meet at one of the big model railway shows like Warley possibly so we can meet each other in person (I might have to be kept away from any stands selling N gauge though ;)).
That would be really a nice thing to do.

Until then Happy Christmas to all of you! :)

Hear, hear @Cowley - I can't really add a lot to what you've said apart from giving my own thoughts (yes thinking I know - I'll stop after this); it's been an absolute blast coming on here to waffle about my own layout and to read the super work everyone else has been doing with theirs. It's been particularly fun coming on here during the various times we, ahem, couldn't go out-and-about, shall we say, and I think we managed to make it through the year without going (too) barmy ;)

There's also the slightly more selfish bit about the forum (for me, at least); that being coming on here and getting all sorts of help from the knowledgeable bunch who we're very lucky to have. Whether it's "my engine won't run, help" or "I'm struggling to find a clear photo of the 18.22 London Paddington - Hereford on 12.5.63 so I can model it precisely", you can guarantee you'll get an answer.

A forum meet would be lovely - I think it'd have to be at a big show purely because at any of the smaller shows, we could quite easily fill the venue

Merry Christmas to all - whether that be N, OO, HO, or any other gauge. Just make sure you've put the decoder in before running it. ;)

-Peter
