Hamburg Port

Can anyone offer any advice on how to get from Hamburg Hbf to the port. I'm cruising from there in May, and haven't looked into this yet, but thought I'd ask on here first. Cheers!

I think that there is more than one terminal in Hamburg. I would recommend a taxi in any case. I've tried using public transport while encumbered with cruise luggage, and all I managed to do was injure myself on the Barcelona Metro!

If you mean the HafenCity terminal, U-bahn line 4 has recently opened to serve it, from the north side of the Hbf.
Smaller ships also use Landungsbrücken and Altona.

Mrs Greenback would insist on a taxi after we struggle din Barcelona, but perhaps you are fitter and less accident prone than me!

Thanks both, it just a two nighter so will be on hand luggage only, not a dressy one this time. I'll find out which part of the port.
