Any recommendations for central(ish) hotels in Hamburg?

Looking for mid range, up to £100/£120 for a double per night including breakfast.

Anybody stayed at Dammtor hotel or Moevenpick? Both look ok and at reasonable price but sometimes first hand experience outweighs the publicity!

The Motel One chain is usually a good bet if you are in Germany, rooms are small but very nice!

What are the buffet breakfasts like? What do they consist of?

Basically a huge all you can eat continental.

don't forget Fischmarkt, Reeperbahn and the Flak Tower in St pauli opposite the Shamrock Irish Pub
