Halloween: Spooktastic or pointless?

As one of my friends put it, Halloween is "christmas for metalheads". We get to dress up in a grim fashion and air our satanic tendencies. My house mates and I kitted out the cellar as a truly fantastic spooky dungeon for our house party last Saturday.

I had to be on the defensive making my way through Bristol at 23:00 last night waiting for the bus back to Bath. Not one minute would pass without some slut in some stupid costume saying something suggestive to everyone around, both male and female...

And people actually like this thing? No other day, not even Valentine's Day, has quite the same appeal to a natural wanderer to wander off. Unless he strays to close to an urban area anyway.

Halloween is still marginally better than Valentine's. At least the former does not make you feel like life's biggest loser because you're not with someone

VD is still definitely and infinitely worse; hence my linking to it before.But at least it doesn't carry a potential threat to one self in a physical manner should he attempt to go outside; VD is far easier to dodge than Hallowe'en. Just go somewhere quiet! And no stupid idiots prancing around and/or screaming...

I don't care for Halloween whatsoever, yet while both kids are at school, the other half has just gone out and spent just shy of £50 on rubbish. Outfits for both the kids, a "sexy witch" outfit for her, some decorations and a load of overpriced Halloween themed food. All I got was a £1 "Ghost Pirate" mask. :roll:

In all seriousness its a kids celebration i dont understand why adults celebrate it it seems pointless to me.

Even worse we got some trick or treaters at our student house and they rejected our sweets because they werent halal. I was like okay well im sorry, so they tried to get something else i was like no.... sorry not got anything so they asked for money!!!!!!!! cheeky gits.

And on looking it up, as suspected it is illegal to celebrate halloween by muslim law so they shouldnt of been doing it anyway....
