A bit of a change of plan since I posted a similar thread a few days ago. Only a small query but it all helps me understand the NRCoC that bit better :)

This Sunday I will start my day in Halifax, I now plan to spend the afternoon in Keighley before heading onto Leeds to catch the East Coast service back to London (AP ticket already bought).

There is a day return ticket from Halifax to Keighley, cost £5.60, route any permitted (as opposed to the slightly cheaper 'not via Leeds' option). I'm thinking I'll get this ticket, and on the return leg stop short at Leeds.

I'm happy enough that stopping short is fine, there are no break of journey restrictions specified. The only thing is that I'm on a fairly tight schedule getting from Keighley to Leeds for my booked train. I can be at Keighley station in time for a train that arrives into Leeds with an adequate connection time. Supposing that train was cancelled however, would the fact that my ticket shows destination Halifax complicate the matter of having my advance ticket endorsed for travel on the next East Coast service?

If there's any potential problem I can just get the dayrover, which is only a pound more. Still, a quid's a quid, which was enough to get me a nice bag of chips last time I went to Keighley. :D

Are you asking whether or not you can use a combination of a Keighley - Halifax ticket (valid via Leeds) and a Leeds - London ticket for one journey? The answer is yes, this is permitted by Condition 19.

Be sure to allow at least the minimum interchange time at Leeds.

More importantly, a bag of chips for a pound? Seems I need to stop in at Keighley, cannot get a bag of chips for less than £1.20 locally!
