Half week in Wales

It was around this time that I realised Chester to Shrewsbury is not actually the Welsh Marches Line, and thus I hadn't managed to complete the line. Another visit required.

Eh? I thought it is (part of) the Welsh Marches Line. Newport (Gwent) to Chester via Shrewsbury and Wrexham I thought was the Welsh Marches Line. Wrexham Central to Bidston is the Borderlands line if that's what you mean (the one Welsh line outside the ValleyLines network I've not travelled on).

The Marches line goes to Crewe, not Chester.
