Guys I need some advice please, I passed my first assessment with GWR in May, about 2 months later they sent me an email saying that there is no predicted vacancies for trainee train drivers in the depots I applied for, therefore they are not able to progress my application any further at this time. They said they will keep my details in case the situation changes though. Any advice what to do from Anyone who has been in this situation before?

I'm not sure there's a lot you can do unfortunately - it's not unusual for vacancies to be withdrawn. I suppose you could ask if there are vacancies in other depots that you could be considered for but obviously this might involve relocating. Other than that it's either a case of waiting until the recruit for those depots again or trying another TOC
Thanks MostlyHarmless, yes I guess I should ask for a relocation and see what they say. I applied with them a year ago and getting nowhere so far.
