Grandson, a student in London, has an advance for the 08:57 from Paddington to Plymouth this morning.

Arrives at PAD to find train cancelled so ask if he can take the 09:00 Weston super Mare train to Bristol - no.

He then thought of going up to Birmingham then back but they said no to that too.

He's now on a coach to Bristol then trying to get home from there.

The weather gods are not on his side today!

The 10:02 from Paddington ran so his best option would have been to have waited for that.

It was also cancelled :(

Surprised he wasn't advised that he could travel from Waterloo. Though with the engineering works it would have taken ages.

1002 to Penzance has run, departed Paddington 30 minutes late & further delayed en route but is now approaching Plymouth (Hemerdon).
