GWR Services on RMT Strike Days

Hello. We have tickets for Teignmouth–Penmere on Friday June 2nd, which has now been announced as an RMT strike day. Has GWR run any trains on this route on previous RMT strike days?

(I appreciate that nobody can know for definite what will run that day until timetables are announced, but I'm not often in this part of the country and any idea of what GWR have done before would be useful.)

Yes they have. From memory most London trains stopped at Dawlish and Teignmouth to and from Plymouth, however not necessarily the same this time. Keep an eye on the website , hopefully something will be published soon. Id say you have a chance of making Plymouth at least.

Thanks. Yeah, I appreciate we can't know till something is published, but it's useful to have a general idea of what might be possible when researching hire cars and National Express options and getting a feel for what the day might involve.

How frequent have the Plymouth-London services been? I'm trying to work out how to get a friend from Plymouth back to the south-east on the Friday and I can't find any information about what GWR are doing for long-distance services. And did they go via Bristol, or down the B&H?

Belive it was about every 2 hours via Bristol.
