GWR seat guarantee

Currently standing on a short formed train from Cardiff to London (planned for Pullman dining not running, presumably due to this, sigh!)

GWR say you can claim 50% of fare back if you had a seat reservation but have to stand. How would this work in my case when I’m on a Cardiff to Lewes ticket?!

Presumably you'll get 50% of Cardiff to Lewes fare back (GWR's website doesn't say anything to the contrary).
