Hi,
I’ve just submitted my application for a trainee train driver.
It’s now sent me an assessment to complete before my application will be looked at.
Any idea as to what this will involve?

just use common sense really. Don’t overthink things.
It will be the multiple choice questions (about 20). I've done 10 or 12 of them over the years and still don't know if I have put the right answers to this day.Just put what you would do,i.e most or least likely answer.just use common sense really. Don’t overthink things.

I'm not sure if it's standard for any GWR role. The questions I have done in the past are to read through a passage of text about a particular subject, it then state something from it which you then have to say whether that was true, false or cannot say.
Most of the time the answer is cannot say in the ones I have done and I've always passed through to the next stage! But use your initiative, read the passage well and decide for yourself based on what you have been given!
