I don't *think* we have a current thread for this, but obviously happy to be corrected.

I took the evening Pullman from Exeter to London on 18 Oct, having gone rather out of my way from Bristol to catch it.

I was slightly concerned at Exeter that there were no station announcements about the Pullman or info on digital signage about it, as I had experienced previously; but it was all fine, the Pullman was there.

I had booked 1st and reserved a seat and there were about 5-6 others dining. There were no starters left and no steak either. There were no walks ups and perhaps given the lack of food they couldn't have been accommodated either.

Gin and tonic was pre-mix which never tastes the same to me as a 'proper' gin and tonic.

Pork Belly was really tasty but the lemon meringue wasn't great in all honesty.

Always rather resent having to decant wine to a plastic cup at Reading - I know the crew are keen to get home but packing a few glasses up at the end of the trip would take seconds.

Still a very pleasant experience overall.
