Could anybody advise me how GWR work out their pay, do they have pay bands for specific jobs for example?
The reason I'm asking is that I am regularly scanning their jobs page but I would say 50% of the jobs they advertise make no mention of what the salary would be. Another example is they recently advertised for a train manager at Paddington with a clearly advertised pay scale but then the exact same job in the south west region made no mention of pay?
I'm not necessarily just interested in Train managers pay but don't want to waste their time or mine applying for a job which would be paid well below my expectations.
