Problem with grab handles now and they need rake testing , rumours were it was going down unfinished but the grab handles need a complete re-think

Are these grab handles you mention inside the doorways, that passengers use to board and alight? I bet RVAR is very specific about requirements for those.

Forgive me if I have missed something but I thought the Cross Country set was 1st in, has there been any sign of it?

May be un-connected but 47813 has worked from Leicester to Doncaster with two barrier coaches.

It looks like they'll be connected...the ROG move from Leicester was under the 5E23 headcode, and the move to Laira is under the 5V24 headcode...

When was the last time 47813 was on Laira? It was a GW engine not that long ago.

Consist now entered:-

47813, barrier coach 6340, HST coaches 49101, 48101, 48102, 48111 and barrier coach 6344.

Hopefully a sign that it will be running albeit rather late!

I don’t really know much about RTT but it’s showing as laying over in platform 2 at Exeter St David’s for a few hours. It’d be too long to fit into 2 without fouling Red Cow level crossing, so will the Exeter signal panel just decide what to do with it when it gets nearer to them does anyone who understands these kind of things know?

I think it might be too long. Usually a 4-car voyager just about fits. They might just send it straight through. Wouldn't be surprised if they do

Carpets possibly and lots of work in the vestibule

Have they retained the doors at the ends of the passenger accommodation? On the Chiltern sets they got removed with doors between the corridor connection instead which I carn't say I particularly rate.
