GWR Night Riviera Sleeper - Staff Ticket

My OH has started working for GWR and we will get to enjoy the benefits of free GWR travel and the Priv rates on other TOCs, and we have always wanted to try the Night Riviera to Penzance.

Has anyone ever booked one as a GWR employee where you book just the berth at the standard rate, and if so how this was accomplished?

I can go via the Staff Travel Site and book quite easily with the Priv Railcards adding the Berth afterwards, but not sure how to do it when technically the train portion is a GWR perk i.e. free.

Don’t GWR have a booking line or ticket offices? They would seem to be the best bet.

Ticket office was going to be our fall back, but as it's all new just seeing whether there is yet another online portal we're missing.

There is no way to book online for the public so unless staff travel can do it then your only options are ticket offices or phone.

You need to do at a ticket office, the travel part is free but the full berth supplement is payable.

The Night Riviera is better than the Caledonian Sleeper (although both are better than air or road travel).

It has cars that ride well, comfortable berths and is quiet internally.
