I don't think there is any harm in emailing. If anything it shows you're keen. Pop them a polite email saying you were told in the interview that you would hear within a week and ask for any updates

What role did you apply for? I had an interview on the 7th June for a future gateline role with GA and still have not heard back. They also told me I'd hear back within a week so after 3 weeks I emailed recruitment. They cc'd my email to the interviewer so she knows I'm still awaiting a follow up. I find it very unprofessional to not hear back after 6 weeks. I'm thinking it might have to do with the proposed ticket office closures and since I applied for a futures role they are not looking to hire new staff in the foreseeable future. I might be stretching, who knows.

Tbh future roles are basically talent pool unless said otherwise. Railway recruitment is notoriously slow and I need incases not much information filters thru till they're ready then it all goes quite quickly.
