You dont need to view it as a Pdf though and the files are so small in the grand scheme of things that i simply do not believe you when you claim they 'take an age to download' - i mean these thigns are in kilobytes in size which takes seconds.

I find the paper version far easier to use.

You don't need a signal if you've already downloaded the file. If it's taking ages to download/open then that means you've got a crap phone by the sounds of things.

Yorksrob does have particular phone requirements, ideally that they cost £50 or less. So that's the answer for that.

Indeed. Since I don't have acees to such niceties as railcards which can be used nationally and end up paying full whack for most journeys, I can't be squandering my money on overpriced bits of kit like expensive mobile phones

To be honest, what with the fiddly little screens and zoom controls, even the most expensive state of the art mobile phone with map fully uploaded, loses hands down against a nice paper map.

I have an app on my iPhone called Zuti that shows the whole UK network. It's zoomable for ease of reading....

I've got it too - now.

The anagram map is priceless! There is a similar Underground anagram map somewhere.

If I was nit picking I would point out that not all anagrams are accurate. e.g. Odd Nudist should be Odd Nudest (Duddeston) but it's funnier if I don't.
