Hi,

Just wondering how you go about buying tickets for 3 people and obtaining the 30% GWR Group Save discount ?

I went to my local station on Saturday evening, used the TVM since the ticket office was shut, but did not see any indication of how to get the discount when I wanted to purchase 3 x adult tickets - I'd assumed the TVM would automatically discount the cost of the tickets.

Regards.

Unfortunately, Groupsave isn't generally available from TVMs for reasons that aren't entirely clear, though may be related to the fact that not all Operators accept it (e.g. CrossCountry and Virgin).

A bit late now, but what you could have done (if you were intending to pay by card) is booked it through one of the websites that uses Atos WebTIS as the backend (e.g. GWR, Chiltern or Transpennine Express) whilst you were at the station and collected the tickets from the TVM almost instantly.
