They are the Responsible Person in the Front 5 of a pair of IETs. Not fully safety critical but will be in charge of any on-board evacuation. Not too sure of the enhancement - I believe all new starters will have it written in as part of the JD as some of those who signed up have now chucked it in. Only get paid for it while doing it, so if you are FSL on the UP trip, but Rear IFC (first class trolley) or any HST role, you will only get an enhancement paid on the time you were working the UP.

Morning, it basically means you're the 'go to' person in the front 5 carriages. We can check first class tickets however we can't do anything about it if they want to upgrade which makes it seem a bit redundant! Not sure if they will train us in the future for that though. We're in charge of checking that there's the correct amount of emergency stock on board (ie boxes of biscuits and waters etc) and doing the catering announcements for the whole train as well as ordering anything needed. Basically we're the eyes of the train manager in the front because if there was any incident, they'd be the first we'd contact.
You get paid .25 for it for the whole day, so it doesn't matter if you did it between Bristol and Bath only but worked a ten hour shift - you get paid that amount for the whole shift. Means you can make a mint if you catch it on rest day work! You apply for the pay through an app after your shift and your manager approves it for the next payslip.
Hope this helped :)

Unlikely, CH have never been revenue trained. If they want revenue in the Front 5 they'll use ATEs
